one thing we cannot help with: whether the thing in your fridge should be eaten. chiku never answers that, and neither do we. Your eyes and your nose, or your doctor. If it is about a pet, please ask your vet.
chiku is not whispering
Open Settings inside the app and tap test my whisper. A test reminder arrives ten seconds later. If it does not appear, notifications are switched off for Chiku in your phone’s own settings; turn them back on there and try again.
On some Android phones, battery saving features stop scheduled reminders. Allowing Chiku to run in the background usually fixes it.
chiku asked if a whisper reached me
That is on purpose. Phones sometimes keep reminders to themselves, and your phone cannot tell us whether one arrived. So chiku asks. Answering honestly is genuinely useful, and it will not turn into nagging.
why will chiku not judge my food
Because chiku does not know, and neither does anyone who has not looked at your actual food. chiku counts days on the dates you typed in. The judgement is yours, always. It is the one line we will not cross.
why do I have to pick a day
Because the alternative is chiku inventing a number. The first time you add something, chiku asks. After that, your answer is remembered and filled in for you.
I paid and the kit did not unlock
Open Settings and tap restore purchases. If it still will not unlock, email us with the store receipt from Apple or Google and we will sort it out.
can I move my fridge to a new phone
Yes, through household sharing: send the list from the old phone and receive it on the new one. Because nothing is stored on our servers, this is the only way, which is the trade for having no account.
how do I delete everything
Delete the app. That removes all of it. We have no copy to delete, because we never had one.
