Every fridge inventory app fails the same way: it turns a kitchen into admin. chiku is built backwards from that. Ten seconds to add a thing, one whisper when a date is near, and the list works for you instead of the other way round.
adding takes one breath
Open chiku, tap add, and either type a name or tap one of the chips for the things every household buys forever: milk, bread, eggs, spinach, the usual suspects. Then say when to check on it. That is the entire ritual.
The first time you add a food, chiku asks you for the day, because chiku refuses to invent numbers about your kitchen. Every time after that, your own answer is already filled in. Two weeks in, most items are one tap and done.
what the watch shows
The main screen is the watch: everything chiku is keeping an eye on, soonest first. Items near their date float to the top with a gentle rescue suggestion. There are places for the freezer, the pantry, the counter and the things you take daily, because the fridge is not the only place food hides.
the whisper
Once a day, at an hour you choose, chiku sends at most one quiet notification, and only if something is coming up. Not five. Not a badge that climbs all week. One. There is a test button in settings that fires a whisper ten seconds later, so you can always prove to yourself that the line works.
household sharing
The detective’s kit adds household sharing: send your list to a partner or housemate as a file, straight from your phone to theirs. No accounts were created in the making of this feature.

The core is free forever: unlimited items, all the reminders, the weekly page, the history. One optional purchase adds tonight’s case, case notes, household sharing and extra scenes. It funds a nonprofit.
